So, let’s talk about dining options for small spaces.

We’ve all lived in an apartment that didn’t have quite enough space for the amount of friends you’ve invited over…..

Well, keep this in mind for next time if you’re still in that apartment, or just want to maximise your dining space:

Bench seats!

Now they can be freestanding, or better still: custom bench seats for that finished look!

The best way is to have them butted up to corner in an L-shape (as seen in our beautiful Cremorne project below)

Now, if you’re more of a “stand-alone dining chair” type of host, then keep those dining chairs (that gives your guests their own space) and go with a round table! Depending on the number of your guests, you can always squeeze in a few more places this way! Just like our gorgeous Kellyville client’s dining space below:

We have the lovely chair below in studio that would add some extra luxe to your dining space and they feel fabulous! Just the perfect piece for those long dinners with friends, you can really settle in after the meal to really enjoy each others company and conversation!

If you entertain regularly, but space is limited, look at investing in an extendable table. That way it can remain at the smaller size when you’re not entertaining!

And if you are pressed for space, a great way to open it up is – you guessed it – lighting!

Consider a floor lamp in the corner of the room. The burst of light will give the illusion of a larger space!
